Interior Art – Siza Vieira and the Designing of Objects

A tireless draftsman, Álvaro Siza Vieira’s reasons for designing various civilisational objects are always linked to his incessant and original creative experiments and are the point of arrival to pieces with varying geometries where the Architect, through an erudite and modern eye that blends with tradition, integrates new data.

Revealing the polysemy of the term design, the artefacts’ project are often inspired by the skills of the craftsmen he works with and had become part of Siza Vieira’s work through the perpetual movement between the past and the present, crafts and design.
